Sometimes, life takes over you. It is overwhelming and leaves you a bit lost, a bit cracked in the soul. Catching up with my girls is always something I want to do when this happens. Laughing and sharing moments with them brings back the good vibe and the positivity back, as simple as that. You know that renewed feeling of confidence and being yourself again after a meet up with your team? It may be hard to explain but the thing is, feeling the besties next to you is just powerful for your soul.
Jumping in the influencer field, I made new friends namely Carleen from vanity_is_my_favorite_sin & Haadiya from haadia03 on Instagram. We recently chose to have some quality time at the SALT of Palmar hotel and oh my! It was pure delight from arrival to departure. The team there was so welcoming and understood what sort of cheerful experience we were looking for as the good crazy gang we are. We entered our room and a fresh feel took over us. The originality and the modernity of the place made us feel special. This edgy décor reminds me of Bali restaurants and hotels, a real travel overseas for the mind.
We wanted to experience a breakfast in bed. Yeah like those Instagram couples! We had Avocado with eggs, waffles and pineapple, Avo toasts, and orange juice. SALT is really the place to go if you want a healthy break regarding meals. Plus, they have a lot of vegetarian and vegan delicacies to choose from. I tasted their vegan taco which is seeds based, filled beetroot hummus & guacamole, just delicious and warming. We had the feeling of a good eat by staying on the healthy side and it was awesome for our trio who loves staying super aware of what we put into our bodies.
A Coup de Coeur for me was their café latté, pure goodness full of aroma with a lovely leafy design on top. I felt like being in a coffee shop in Bali again, so yummy. We were all on the bed in those organic cotton bathrobe, chatting and laughing not realising that lunchtime was there. We felt in a cocoon with the Seaview and the fresh breeze but decided to go by the pool for lunch.
As a healthy food gourmet, with the girls we had a blast. From the zucchini noodles to the Soba which are Japanese buckwheat noodles, much lighter than regular noodles, very trendy for those watching their weight but still want to have a good noodle bowl. We really appreciated the fact that these colourful meals were mostly plant based. Some even had algae in them, great for the organism. But SALT do have some non-veg options like a Turkish pie with lamb that was so tasty as well. Hats off to their finger foods, light and crispy.
We enjoyed this culinary time like non-other. Much more better than just a regular lunch somewhere with the girls. It made us feel so special and added to that good friends’ feel. I will keep you guys posted for the next blog and talk a bit more about the features of that particular hotel. I stayed in lot of them, but none suited my personality as this one. Environmental and animal friendly from head to toe.
I raise my glass of orange juice to that!
Much Love,
Lexia
