My first thing first in the morning is to cultivate that feeling of gratitude. Every day is an adventure, a ride on the roller coaster of life. I feel blessed when I feel the first rays of sunlight on my skin and if I wake up earlier than the sun itself, I appreciate the freshness of the moment, the serenity of those very early days. Then second important thing is breakfast. Yeah, one of the joys of being human is filling that stomach of ours with some yummy and healthy food. Not forgetting the tea, oh my, the tea!
When I have a bit more time, especially in the week-end, I just love to lay in bed while taking my breakfast, just to extend this precious waking up moment. I prepare myself a lovely food platter and just take it with me on the bed. If my husband is around, I’ll prepare for him too and we will chat about all sort of things or just read something. My attraction for well-made things always bring me to choose some nice plates and mugs for breakfast. I always want to make things match with each other.
A visit at La Foir’Fouille recently made me discover a new style for my breakfasts moments. I found the perfect breakfast in-bed platter. You know those with a stand, so it does not sit on the bedsheets themselves. The thing is super practical and elegant. A white and épuré look object that will always be useful, even for those healthy binge watch nights with Netflix! But coming back to breakfast. I love a bowl of muesli with blueberries and goji berries. Awesome to fill you up and have you all the antioxidants you need in the morning. I also got the bowl from La Foir’Fouille.
I also love the marble effect mug in which I’ve poured my tea, the overall is a white dream look which is so soothing to me especially in the morning. I personally usually prefer tea than coffee, it’s a less powerful stimulant than the caffeine present in coffee and helps me built ideas throughout the day as its effects last 6 hours compared to coffee which gives you an instant boost for 2 to 3 hours. A little treat also during slow mornings are croissants, I love the yummy and crispy side if it. The translucent plate in which I’ve placed it is also from La Foir’Fouille.
I also love the mosaic styled cutleries these days, these are fresh and original. The pot with the lid on the photos is my coup de Coeur I must admit. Creating moments for you to feel good is important. You know what pleases you, what makes you feel cheered up. Surround yourself with feel good objects with healthy food and adopt the routine which will contribute to the well-being of your body mind and soul. So, next morning try to smile just for yourself, take the time to enjoy every sip of your hot beverage and take the energy you need for the day with a good meal.
Enjoy your week❤️
kisses,
Lexia
