Gem-like home

Your house is your treasure chest, a place where you feel abounded with warmth and love. You come there and rejuvenate yourself at any moment of the day. Create a cosy corner where you feel valued, put objects and decorations that reflects your state of happiness. It may sound trivial but believe me, a cocoon of yours is a great way to ground your soul into this life. I love this little space of mine that I arranged lately. I identify to it and it simply makes me feel jolly when I come to rest here. 

The black touch, oh my! Yeah, I love to give a contrast between flowers and a bold dark add-on. This low black textured vase and mat aspect vase caught my attention at La Foir’Fouille. It reflects light perfectly and gives a chic vintage style which perfectly goes with the chandelier that seems to come from the Renaissance era. It makes me feel like putting a big puffy dress and sit in my living room like a duchess. 

The artificial peonies are just lovely. You can grab a bouquet like this one at the flower section at La Foir’Fouille also. Peonies are one of my favourite flowers, these are modern and gentle. I love candles like this black one, it stands out between the white ones that are electrical. Sometimes I love battery options lights to quickly get a dim lighted room in two seconds without the bore of looking for fire. 

You will notice the low table which is clearly a trend right now, fashionable just like me (laughs). A translucent and golden beauty that does not overshadow any decorations you will put on it. A low table is always a good thing to have in your living room, you can place mugs, or snack bowls on it or even those little feets… or not, just choose a foot rest from La Foir’Fouille, better! 

I also love a sort of fairy tale like atmosphere, it is the childish Lexia in me and you never want to forget the little one in you, no sir!  So, I choose those little lights at the background. Also makes me think of when I hang those at the top of my bed when I was a teenager. You can hang those anywhere in the house. On a curtain, on the wall, on your tables or even around a plant pot. It is a versatile luminaire, so easy to incorporate to your décor. Plus, it will give a warm and cosy look to the place.

Remember to always be you in everything you do. When you are not afraid to be yourself, people will feel comfortable to be themselves around you, so simple as that. Decorate your life with people, energy and objects you cherish.
