Here but Away

Yes, I know travelling is a bit tricky at the moment. If you are like me, a free soul who loves to discover and sail away every now and then, you must be feeling restless. A destination which I visited and where I want to go back as soon as possible would be Bali. The atmosphere, the people, the fresh feeling at every corner of streets associated with their luxurious greeneries. Just talking about it makes me feel good. So, I wanted to replicate my little Bali Corner in my patio at home. You can too for any destination. 

First choose a comfy seat, you will want to come here and relax, read a book, have a drink, a snack or just to meditate. I love sofas, I choose a cocooning rattan one, in a neutral beige shade, I just find that this colour is so soothing. You can add nice cushions too to get lost in plushness. Add nice lamp holders. For example, I chose a big rattan one in a rustic style found at La Foir’Fouille. If you have ever visited Bali, you will know that the country is literally made of rattan! This material smells like holidays, literally. The square patterns remind me of fishing at the sea also. You can have one big or several small ones according to your taste. 

I also got a transparent black smoked glass lamp holder which adds a bold touch to the overall. I looove black items here and there just like in my wedding gallery. I find that it gives an impressive magnetic effect. Also, you will want to choose mugs, glasses or plates for your special destination break away at home! I got my nice Jungle Summer glass with tropical leaves print for my fresh juices at La Foir’Fouille as well. I just cannot get enough of this shop. It makes me feel like I am relaxing on a beach somewhere in Indonesia. 

For any destination you will choose, I strongly recommend adding greeneries. Plants have the power to calm the soul and it helps give a fresh look to any corner. I chose Palm leaves and Bamboo here, you find a great range of artificial plants like these at La Foir’Fouille. It gives the nice effect of plants without having the bore of watering or changing the soil often. I also added cactus plants, Bali is also full of these succulents. A stylish plant nothing without a cute pot. I choose to put some real fern in a basket from La Foir’Fouille. You can find all style, all sizes there. Yeah, I choose one with handles, I can carry my fern everywhere easily (major tip lol). Okay, if you want me to do a special theme travel corner like London, Paris, Africa, let me know darlings. Meanwhile, remember do anything that will make you feel good!
